As many of you will have heard on the news, dental practices have been given the go-ahead to open from 8th June providing suitable protection and protocols are in place and staff are fully trained in the many changes dentistry now faces due to this pandemic.
The BBC incorrectly stated 1st June in error, we will not be open that soon. We apologise to those of you in need of treatment but it is for everyone’s safety we don’t begin treating patients until all guidance, training and protective equipment is in place.
We are busy getting prepared right now for the absolute safety of patients, dentists and all staff members, which will at all times be our complete priority.
Although we follow strict procedures already, we must follow extra procedural guidelines meaning we will initially be able to treat far fewer patients than normal, and those seen first will be priority pain cases.
The practice will not be “open” for the time being, we will be operating a pre-arranged appointment system only so please for the safety of all do not come to the practice until your appointment has been confirmed.
You will be contacted by phone to arrange an appointment time, at which point you will be asked a series of questions and advised from there what to expect on arrival and during your visit.
Those of you booked in for hygienist and examination appointments over the coming months will be contacted to confirm or alter- we understand that many of you are self- isolating or just generally wary at the moment so we will happily arrange a future date to suit. Changes to normal procedures will be explained fully to you during this call.
We will have to move some existing appointments due to the extra decontamination and administration we will be carrying out for each appointment. We will give you plenty of notice of changes and please contact us by email or voice message if you have specific concerns.
Please know that we’re doing everything within our power to safely see you as soon as possible, but for now the on-call service for emergencies continues every day until further notice should you need us. Call the practice line for guidance.
Stay safe everyone, we’ll see you soon!
